Arcade is a gamification business.

Let me explain to you what I think that means about our personalities, about who we are as people: we freakin' love to compete.

We're always looking for ways to make things more interesting:

  • "Hey James, let's give the teammate who has the best code this week a trophy."
  • "Hey Dave, I'll give you five bucks if you get them to sign a contract today."
  • "Hey Ali and Kinga, first to get 10 business cards gets first round on me!"

Whenever we can, we gamify our jobs. We create small contests with prizes for the winners. We dish out shoutouts constantly. We banter, we hustle, and we fight. We curse when we lose and we celebrate when we win. Oh, do we celebrate the wins!

All this competition may seem exhausting, but it's exactly what keeps us going.

At Arcade, we're building a product that gamifies one of the most popular jobs on the planet: retail sales. We know deep down that everyone does better work when they are having fun, so we're building a product to help with that. We believe everyone has the right to enjoy their work.
