Installing Arcade for Slack

If your organization uses Slack, you can install Arcade for Slack which will allow everyone in your organization to interact directly with Arcade through commands and notifications.

⚠️ You need to have Slack permissions to add an app to your organization.

Install Arcade in your Slack Workspace

Use the following button to install Arcade in your organization.

Install Arcade for Slack

* This is a one-time process that grants Arcade permission to access your Slack workspace.

Log in to app.arcade.co and navigate to Manage / Settings.

On the Settings page select Add to Slack

Slack will display an authorization dialog. Confirm your workspace is selected in the upper right-hand corner and press Allow.

The Arcade app for Slack has now been installed. The Arcade app should now be displayed under the list of Apps.

If you do not see the Arcade app listed, press the Add apps button and select Arcade from the list of available apps.

You can also interact with Arcade by choosing the Arcade app in Slack's channel list. From the Arcade app you can view Arcade's home screen and send commands to Arcade.

Invite Arcade to Slack channels

Now that Arcade for Slack has been installed, the next step is to invite Arcade to one or more channels. Open any of your Slack channels and invite Arcade to join using the following command.

/Invite @arcade

Now that Arcade has been invited to a channel, you can validate Arcade for Slack has been installed by issuing commands. Enter the following into a channel to see all the commands you can issue.

/Arcade help

Arcade will return a list of commands you can use in a message that is only visible to you.

You can also interact with Arcade by choosing the Arcade app in Slack's channel list. From the Arcade app you can view Arcade's home screen and send commands to Arcade.
