Recognition is another important part of Arcade - helping to motivate your team to recognize each other, share best practices, and support each other to level up.

There are three main components to recognition in Arcade:

• Recognition Stars
• Token Awards
• Badges

Recognition Stars

Recognition Stars are one way your team can reward folks without utilizing tokens or other paid incentives.

Every Arcade account comes with 5 standard recognition stars:

• Performance
• MVP
• Leadership
• Teaching
• Friendly

Recognition stars can be given from any user in Arcade to any other user. You can give a star by going to the Player Directory, and hovering over the player you’d like to give a star, and selecting “Give Recognition”.

After selecting “Give Recognition,” the following screen will appear, and you can select the type of star you would like to give.

You can also enter a custom message, which will be displayed to the user and on any Global or Team Newsfeeds that have notifications for Recognition Stars enabled. For more on Newsfeed notification settings, see our Newsfeed Notifications page.

Then select “Give Recognition” and the star will be given to the user. Below is how the notification will display on the user’s personal Newsfeed.

When you give someone a Recognition Star, it will automatically enroll them in the Weekly Superstar game. For more on this game, see the Weekly Superstar page.

Token Awards

‍

Any user in Arcade can also give another user a token award as a way of recognizing them!

Badges

‍

Badges are another way Arcade recognizes users in Arcade. There are 23 standard badges that are available for users in Arcade to receive based on actions they complete. See our full list of available badges here.

You can equip a badge to show off the different actions you’ve completed in Arcade by navigating to Players and then selecting “My Profile.”

Then select “View all” next to your badges.

‍

‍

Here you can view all of your badges, and choose to equip any one you’d like!
